Columbia, UC Berkeley, USC, Northwestern, and Harvard Universities hired us to design an interactive flash application covering the 2008 presidential race. Ensuring that it would stay active through the election, we developed a custom Content Management System allowing them to update speech quotes, candidate drop-outs, YouTube videos, and more.
arrowChallenge:
Analyze a massive amount of information being researched and written through a national initiative led by five of America's leading research universities, then design and develop a web application that's interface offered the information in a highly usable layout while also allowing the organization to continually update the information using a CMS through the 2008 election.
arrowSolution:
Overview: On first glance, a one-page flash application with a 3-part navigation that includes "Single Candidate Mode" as well as "Comparison Mode" that shows 2 candidates side-by-side. Upon clicking the candidates' cells, users find an invaluable amount of information.
Technologies: Adobe Flash, custom CMS using Textile editing.
