The First Pour - Michael Nix, Creative Director
Date: 9.28.06- With several weblogs under my belt now falling within the broad realm of the early 2000's blog approach of "Here's a list of what I ate today, here's some political viewpoint I support" I've come to realize the need to throw it all away and begin writing about a topic in which me and my coworkers are avid fans of as well.
This company blog will be our firms first journalistic take on one specific topic that in itself offers a world of tangents - Pure, Quality Art & Design. While I'll be the initiator at first, NixBlog will feature other experts in the field including our own designers and developers. I hope in the next couple years NixBlog will become a quality documentation of new trends, design history reminders, and personal samples of the design me and industry professional I collaborate with across our great nation have jumped headfirst into.
On that note, without beginning the design sermon, I'll simply offer this first illustration I recently completed titled "Il fait chaud comme boules!" to be published in an upcoming New Orleans-based book featuring Katrina-affected artists "We Are Constance."
